I just got back from Elsas and I just wanted to say that John and I were not pleased.
I have seen their work on here and was very excited to meet with them since I need a custom wedding band made.
We felt as if we were completely disrespected. They looked at us as we were young and had no money and basically shooed me away. they were looking at my ring and basically when we said we wanted to talk about it and get back to them, handed me back the ring like f-you please leave.
we couldnt belive how we were treated. And Like I said they do beautiful work but the way they go about things arent great
they couldnt give us a round about price and when we asked they looked at us like we were crazy. he said all I can tell u is they it could be from 1,000-20,000 and cant tell you until the mold is made? After you sign a contract? I have never heard of signing a contract for somthing u dont know what the price will be eventually.
I am so upset right now and so is John....I hope I can find someone who can make me a ring to match my Ering :(

Didn't you get your e-ring from Dorothy's Fine Jewelry? Just go back there, I had my wedding band custom made by her, I ordered it last Saturday, and it was ready by Wednesday!

Sorry bout your experience. My FI were going to go there but we ended up going to a jewelry store out in PortJeff. They were extremely helpful and respectful however Im not sure if they make custom jewelry there. Here's a link to their site. It's family owned.
I just read other brides' posts and apparently they do make custom jewelry!

hii'm so sorry that you had such an unpleasant experience with Elsa's. We went through elsa's & had our rings made from them and had a great experience with them. We delt with Stephan the entire time. We went in there and told them that our budget was a certain amount and we told them that this is what we could afford.. and in the end everything worked out in our favor.. we stayed under our budget. who did you meet with when you went?

WOW! I am really sorry about the experience you had. My Husband and I used Elsa's and we were very pleased. I had to have a custom band made and they were able to stun me after I had been to over 50 stores and unable to find something to fit my unique setting. We only went there because a friend of mine used them to make her a custom setting and were also pleased. Not to defend them because no business should ever treat potential clients with disrespect. We also only delt with Stephan and found him to be funny and delightful. Keep searching and you will find something beautiful somewhere.

I've had a really bad experience there also when i went with a friend to look! They were sooo rude!!!

ah yes, another vendor occassionally too arrogant to 'humor' a customer by treating them with a shread of respect. Amazing how they all stay in business!!!!

I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. My FH went to Elsa for my e-ring and she was so patient with him. He went back 4 times because he couldn't decide. We went there last week to order a band to match my ring and she was great. I have only dealt with Elsa, not Stephen so maybe he is a jerk. I'm so sorry that you had that experience!

Had a similar experience when we wouldn't commit to a contract on the spot. They pretty much said that they wouldn't work with us unless we committed right then and there. It was bizarre. Very high pressure.

I haven't been to Elsas, but I get phone calls from there every couple of weeks or so inviting me to come to their showroom. They seem kind of pushy, and I hate pushy salespeople.
