My girlfriend was diagnosed with endometriosis, and has had surgery 2x. Her MD told her she probably has only 1 year to conceive, and she only has one ovary 'working'.
Has anyone conceived with this condition on this board...any suggestions?
My friend (she's also in my bridal party, refuses to start any 'therapies to assist in conceiving').
If everyone can send her baby dust, I'd be so grateful!

Baby dust. I know someone who had endometriosis. She was ttc for a while and recently had a baby. **************

My ex-SIL had endometriosis - very painful periods is the thing I remember her complaining about most. When she saw the doctor and was diagnosed, she was also told the same thing about conceiving. She had no problem at all conceiving and my nephew was born 10 or 11 months later. The pregnancy also cured the endometriosis b/c she has never had a painful period since and that was 13 years ago. Normal monthly stuff but she described it as excruciating before the pregnancy. HTH

My sister had/has endometriosis and she had a difficult time conceiving (it took 5 years for her to conceive her 1st child). Basically it's a lining of some sort of scar tissue on the inside of the tubes (I think) which hinders pregnancy. She used to be in the most horrendous pain. I remember we were at Malibu dancing one night and she literally doubled over in pain. Her lower abdomen had swollen to 3x the size. It was horrible. She had 2 or three procedures and she got pregnant. She got pregnant with her 2nd child just 2 months after giving birth but the dr's told her it was because the birth had 'cleared the tubes', sorry TMI. Anyway, it's coming back and if she wants to go for another child, she'll have to have another procedure.
