ENGAGED!!!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!

Just got engaged on Saturday, January 31st. The past two days have been surreal. I couldn't wait to post a message on here because I've been checking out this site for months.

Would love lots of advice. We're clueless and paying for 95% of it ourselves. Any advice would be well appreciated. We're looking at reception halls this weekend and looking to spend around $70pp. We're going to look at The Harbor Club, Thatched Cottage, Fox Hollow, Riviera, Captain Bills. Any other suggestions?

We're aiming for Spring 2005 but I hear that halls will give you a great deal if they have an open date or cancellation for this fall.

The price I got at Riveria was $82 for a saturday night in April (this was discounted because we would be booking only 8 months prior)

Take a look at Meadow Club in Port Jeff...I am getting married there a Saturday night in June and paying less than riveria was going to charge me!

Congratulations. Check out the Huntington TownHouse. Danielle and I are getting married there in August. We are spending $59 per person for a saturday night. That place is beautiful. We knew the second we walked in there that it was the place for our wedding day.
