Engagement Favors??

It is neccessary to have favors at the engagment party?
Its July 22nd.

Any suggestions?

Also for the wedding, I want something different.
Whats everyone doing for Wedding favors?

yeah that's cute... i've also seen candles, perfect pair cookies, mini champagne bottles, things like that-- so take a look at a favor website and choose something cute that you like otherwise you don't have to do it, i've been to eparties without favors as well and that's fine...

for the wedding i'm doing a donation to MADD in memory of me and FH's friend who was killed by a drunk/reckless driver. the donation will be made in each person's name.

i don't know about favor ideas .. i haven't even thought of favors for my wedding ..

i wouldn't go to crazy on favors for the e-party ..
so don't stress

i dont thiink favors are a must......although i did do them for my party......mini cheese graters......

I did Fortune cookies dipped in chocolate w/ pink sprinklers and personalized the fortune. (got them from beau-coup) I place them in pink chinese take out containers which I got from wrapwithus.com

I do think it's nice to get some sort of favor b/c you'd be surprised at how many people get you GREAT gifts that you just don't expect. My sister did mints, which was a great idea as well.

We are doing donations as favors but haven't decided where we are donating to or how we are going to let our guests know that donations have been made instead of favors.

That's actually what we planned on doing! We are having them match the invitations (well coordinate them) and then we were going to do wedding cookies (Wedding Gowns, Tuxes, Flowers, E-Ring, etc)

My engagement party was in July and I gave out heart cookie cutter hearts with my grandmas sugar cookie recipe. And for the kids I gave out goodie bags with a lot of candy.

i dont think its necessary at all. i had one and didnt even think to give out favors!

of course if you do, it would be nice, but dont feel compelled to do it.
