Engagement Gift Amt

Hi Gals! I have a few engagement parties (including my own) coming up. I am unsure how much is a typical engagement gift if you are giving a gift card or cash? Anyone who has had a party what do you typical receive? Thanks!!

We got anywhere from $25 to $250. Typical was around the 25/50 range. Id say close friends and fam at least 40 rest 25 is good. We got mainly 25 dollar GCs. HtH

I gave $25 and a photo frame. I'm also going to be a BM so I didn't give as much as normal since I know I'll be spending A LOT of money on the wedding LOL

Typically I give $50 from FH and I.

We got about $50 on average for gift cards and that's probably how much I would spend from me and FH.

We usually give between $50 and $100 depending on how close we are to the couple. Our friends and family were extremely generous (I was completely flabergasted by their generosity) and we received $50 from most singles and $100+ from most couples. Completely unexpected and unnecessary. I think $50 is more than fine.

Our average $100 per couple. I'd give that unless it was a close friend or family then I'd give $200-$250

I think of it this way. It cost my parents $47 a head for our luncheon. So I have to give $100 minimum. IF it was an engagement party like with a DJ at a catering hall if give more.

I really was surprised at how generous people were at our engagment party - they ranged from $50-$350, ($350 was from my brother, but it's still absolutely ridiculous for an engagement party). I went to one in March for a wedding I am in. I went alone and gave $100.

Cort most people gave me around 50 dollars per person or like 75 per couple. Older Adults tended to give me a little more. HTH
