Has anyone or is anyone giving their FH an engagement gift...I hadn't thought about this until my friend brought it up to me after i got engaged bc she said thats what she is going to do and i thought it was a great idea...Well i wanted to give it to him at our e-party, but the past few months paying for both a wedding, e-party and plus the holidays, i couldn't do it, so i am giving it to him after.
Has anyone done this, or plans to?

I feel bad bc i couldve gotten it now that i think about it...But i went a bit nuts with e-party and put money into that, im not regretting it, but i really wish i was able to give it to him during e-party

I did...I was going to get him a flat screen plasma TV...which we could later use in our house...but while we were on vacation FH saw an autographed Jim Morrison album cover that was framed w/ the album. He loves The doors and jim Morrison!!! He talked the guy down in the price...from $2500 to $1500 shipped. I would have preferred the TV but he really wanted it...so that was his gift.

OOooo that is a great gift though...Yeah FH already knows exactly what he is getting...He knew i wanted to get him a watch and he told me to go to his friend who sells watches to jewelry stores and works with them, so his friend can get me a great price. So i am gonna get him a Rolex oyster perpetual day date watch

I'm buying him a baume and mercier watch that he has wanted for a while. I think it is about $3000, so it is going to take me a very long while to get it, but hopefully, thats what i'm doing

Iwas thinking that, but i feel bad, because i know he is going to be buying me a wedding gift (we already talked about buying eachother something that we can wear on the wedding day) so i feel like he is getting jipped (spelling?) My ring is AMAZING and he spent way more than what i will be spending on an engagement gift, but i really want to get him the watch. he would be so suprised because he is definitely not expecting me to save $3000 to get it, but if i put my tax check (keeping my fingers croosed for a good refund) and some money from my next raise (within two months) i think i will be able to do it

I was going to get him a plasma, but he decided to buy himself that as an engagement gift...so I got him a Movado that he's had his eye on for awhile....I'm hoping for my bday he will get me the Michele that I've had my eyes on!! But its

wow!! You are all such generous girls!! I got him nothing, but that's cause he left right after we got engaged for job training in Georgia (only 7 more weeks till he comes home!!!) I mail him stuff all the time though so maybe I can count that as engagement gifts, LOL
