Engagement Gift Thank yous

Let the fun begin! we received our first engagement gift last night and now the WONDERFUL world of thank you notes and tracking gifts must begin! lol - that sounds bitter - with it being the first i'm actually still excited and rearing to go! SOO - i'm on the prowl for great Thank you Notes - DIY ones would be great. does anyone here have photos they wouldn't mind sharing or sites they could direct me too?
I just went on lunch and stopped at the KMart next to my building - thinking maybe martha stewart had a line there ...alas boring and only like 8 in a pack.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Engagement Gift Thank yous

ok - now i have MORE engagement questions! YIKES - you know when you post a topic it shows you related topics on the bottom - well i looked through some ....now here's my questions

1. stationary with brides monogram? is this something that is pretty standard? i saw some people discussing it and using it for their thank yous

2. Engagement gift for FH! YIKES and i'm the queen of giving gifts and saying thank you where appropriate - but I had NO CLUE about this. and here i've been running around making little special dinners, doing nice things for him as my way of saying thank you for my beautiful ring. kidding of course here i love doing these things...but is all of this averted with a gift from me to him? give me some guidance on this one.

THANK YOU! :)

bueller here...lol

Welcome and congratulations!

I ordered thank yous from vistaprint.com, but michaels has some nice ones.

As for the FH engagement gift- I didnt get him one. We are just trying to save so much $for the wedding so we passed on that. he doesn't even want a wedding gift

ETA: vistaprint has stationary too, but I never tried to make a monogram with it.

def check out vistaprint! they have great deals - once you buy one thing you get constant emails giving you 10 free, etc.
i have bought my STD magnets from there, cards for the reception asking guests to eamil their pics instead of disposable cameras, moving announcements! its not the greatest quality - but it gets the job done!

Re: Engagement Gift Thank yous

hi! congratulations! for engagement thank you cards, i just went to papyrus and bought really pretty cards...they may have been a little pricey but i was so excited about being engaged i didn't even care! i would actually check out target though...i founds some cards there in my wedding colors and they were like $2!!

re: the monogram.....i just did some reading about this because i was making ours and apparently it's bad etiquette to use a monogram with your new initials before you are actually married. the article i read said that all monogrammed items should be for the reception. i don't usually really care too much about traditional etiquette but this one does seem to make sense.... :)

congrats again! ENJOY being engaged before the stress of 'planning' sets in!!! :)

I got really cute ones at Target.
They had a stylish female on there in fuschia and black that said: You really should have, but we're so glad you did.

I thought it was so hysterical b/c of the demeanor of the character on the front of the card.

I did my cards at vistaprint.com as well. Just basic, pretty cards that we like a lot & we order more as we need them.

I did get FH an engagement gift...i figured it's not really right that I get this amazing ring and he gets nothing.

Enjoy this time!!! When we got our first engagement gift - I ran to his job with it and we opened it together...it was so fun!!!
