Engagement Gifts

Hello ladies! I haven't been on in so long, but I really need your help! I'm gonig to an engagement party this weekend, but I don't know what to get the couple! They're not registered, they're not getting married until late 2011 and they don't live together.

HELP!

TIA

Cold hard cash.

Or a Gift Card to BBB or Macys, etc.

Should've written this first (SORRY) -- I don't want to give them cash or a gift card; my mom always told me it's not personal, so now that's always in my head!

I hear ya, however, I loved getting cash and GCs. We were registered just for the party since we had people ask, and we did get a lot of gifts too.

How about something personalised? Like from Etsy...maybe a sign or a beautiful Lenox frame or something keepsakey?

Hmmm...I know some people feel that way, but I think the general consensus of brides on here would feel the opposite.

If that's the case, maybe a bottle of wine and some wine glasses?
Someone gave me a very nice lead crystal vase. (We're not registered yet either) Very simple and classic.

This one's a toughie..

I would do this as well..something they can use or something that eventually they can put in a curio.,

I know it isnt personal but its the best gift for an Eparty.. We just had ours and we didnt register for that reason. The cash really helps !!

Re: Engagement Gifts

I like the wine and glasses idea..maybe put it in a cute basket with a blanket.

Otherwise, maybe a visa gift card so they can get what they need at a later date.

what about a bottle of champage to go with a gift card or cash? cash is the best gift and probably what they are expecting.

Are you by peter andrews store in huntington? they have really cute gifts and any gift over 20 gets wrapped for free! which is great for me because I do not do wrapping!
