engagement party
I see a lot of the 06'ers posting reviews of there engagement parties. I had my party on march 23, 2003. I never got around to scanning my pictures. SO here's my mini review.
Location:
La Foccia restaurant A+++++
they were great there. We went and spoke with Sal. He is the owner of the place. We had an afternoon party of 85 people. They accommodated us SO well. The food was outstanding and the service was beyond our expecations. They included wine and domestic beer in the price of the party. They also worked out a great price for us for the younger children that were there. We saw no need to pay full price when they were going to order something much smaller and the owner totally agreed with us. We are going to have our rehearsal dinner there as well. I highly recommend them.
Balloon Centerpieces: A++++++
a friend got them from a balloon store on jerusalem avenue in hicksville. They served as great centerpieces. For our table(which say fh, myself and the bridal party) she bought a hot air balloon basket. It was very cute and very pretty. She said she got great service there.
Gifts for the bridal party: A+++++
Tri County Flee Market jewelry Floor
I purchased the bridal party simple little gifts just as an early thank you. We used a couple different booths there, and they were ALL fantastic.
Favors: A+++++++++++++++
Capri Bakery and Gift Shop in Merrick
they were fantastic. My family knows the lady that works there and she gave us a great deal. We picked out oil and vinegar glass jars with a solid silver rose on it. They were beautiful and a really hit. Everyone thought that they were the cutest things ever and that they put them in their china cabinets. All the favors that she has in her shop are picked out by her in Italy and shipped to her. She has some amazing stuff there and very reasonable.
The Cake:
La Foccia
They provided us with the cake. It was very delicious.
well heres some pictures to go with my review....i guess this is practice for 'the big day review'!!!!!!!!!
