Engagement Party!

I am having my eparty on June 8th and I see that a lot of other girls are having epartys in June as well. Let's trade ideas! My color is lavender for the party.

I got personalized matches and napkins made up for the bar ($30 for 50 of each on ebay including shipping!). The matches say 'Pam & Billy - the perfect match' and the napkins say Congratulations and give our names and the date of our party.

I am also having some signature drinks. One of my girls is pregnant so I making a drink for her called a Maternitini (basically juices in a martini glass) so that she doesnt feel left out.

I saw that someone had adorable 'marriage advice for the bride and groom' boards out for people to sign. I will def. be doing that!

I am going to make up a congratulations board with pics of myself & FH together;

I am going to do a bathroom basket in the ladies room and a lavender scented candle burning in both.

Thanks. My friend was kinda bummed about being pregnant for the Summer and for my party so I tried to include her the best I could.

We're not doing a big Eparty-we're doing a sunday brunch w/around 50 people. We don't want to use ideas twice. We are keeping it simple and relaxing and for the wedding we are using some of your ideas along with a bunch more.

We are having an engagement party. I'm not exactly sure what we are going to do whether a garden themed party in our backyard (very classy) or a more relaxed bbq. My mom wants it in a hall but I think we should save the money since we will be geting married next july. for now we are still going back and forth on diamond stones. we have appointments every two weeks for the stone and setting and i cant make up my mind. :)

What shape stones are you considering? I am pretty anal and I wanted to pick my own ring, but FH wouldnt let me. (I wanted a plain round diamond in a solitare setting pref. in a light blue box, lol). However, he went himself and picked my ring and I LOVE IT and I really love that he picked it himself. He learned all about diamonds and searched for months. THat meant a lot to me.

We are having it in FH backyard. Everyone is cooking a bunch of things. Lots of food. blue linens. fh is a graphic designer and he is making cartoon versions of us for our invites. ... we are doing the advice thing too - not sure if going to be on board or index cards (to use later in a scrap book) : )

Very cute ideas ladies! I wish I had a big back yard to have my party in. I wish I had a big back yard to have a wedding in! I would love that. A big white tent and catered food, oh well.

i had mine last year in june. we just did a backyard bbq at FIL's house with a luau theme.
