My parents are throwing us an engagement party but we are making the invitations. Any suggestions on what to write??

I picked my hall, band, dress . . . no problem. Wording on invitation is causing major stress!! Go figure.

You could do something simple like

Bride & Groom
Saturday, September 8th, 2007


Or do something cute like a rhyme:

Adam popped the question
Cindy said 'yes!'
Now come join us and
be our guest
@ their engagement party!

Our invitation read:
Kevin has proposed and Michelle has said 'Yes'!

Mr .and Mrs. ___ would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Michelle Marie to Kevin James.

Please join us in celebration on (date) at (time) o'clock.

Please RSVP by (date)____ at (phone number)

Hope this helps! We printed them on the computer and got the invitations from Michael's.

Ours said something like...

The most precious moment of her life...
Tom asked Michelle to be his wife!!

Please join us to celebrate the engagement of
Michelle XXXX
and
Thomas XXX

and then the date and time and all that stuff.
