Hi everyone! I posted just after Christmas for the fist time! My fiance and I got engaged on Christmas Eve. I've been a stalker of liw for months so it feels so good to actually be able to post! I'm looking into places for an engagement party, prob about 125 people.. we live in Miller Place so some where near us. Any ideas? We looked at Crossroads and Blackwells and we were thinking of looking at Lombardis on the sound & the irish coffee pub, Any other suggestions would be great!! Thanks! I really look forward to getting to know all of you!

how about three village inn in stony brook? there are a ton of good restaurants in stony brook and port jeff.

Definately look into Irish Coffee Pub, a friend of mine used to be the BM there and has had nothing but great things to say about the place!!!

I've been trying to think of some restaurants but with the amount of people (which I think is ridiculous but trying to cut is next to impossible its mostly immediate family and close friends) and wanting a dj...there aren't many restaurants that can fit both. And we would both much rather a big room at a restaurant than a catering hall...Lombardis is the only one we're looking at that doesnt fit the description..only for the room upstairs

I think Blackwells is a great location. I've been to a few parties there and the food is great...and it's really pretty.
Also, what about Blue in Blue Point?

Thanks everyone! Im def going to check out the surf club, but my fsil is actually getting married at the miller place inn this summer so thats out! Ive never heard of Blue but I'm adding it to the list! Blackwells seemed really nice but it was kind of pricy and I think the room might be a little tight!

It may be a little far for you, but you could try Novita in Garden City, NY. We had a cocktail party with an open bar for 100+ people. If you want more info, fm me.
