We are doing a backyard e-party...we are using pillar candles. I can't come up with a better idea of what to use other then candles

are you doing favors??

Yes...doing a popcorn favor 'he popped the question blah blah blah' and probably something else ring related. I'm doing the popcorn DIY...cute labels, cute bags, etc.

that is so cute!! i wish i was creative to think of something like that. lol but im at all

me...creative?!?!? I stole that idea from a website lol. it's very low budget too...some popcorn, a bag, stick a label on it...theres your favor

what website??

I don't remember...I did a search for engagement party favors and found it a few weeks ago. Printed some labels at work....ordered bags from Oriental Trading.

We're having a backyard BBQ eparty at the end of August... I think we're renting 8 tables. Our CP is going to be mason jars and/or small clay pots ($1 @ AC Moore) with citronella votive and tumbled pebbles inside and a color coordinating ribbon around the top. (I think I have pics in my albums). And for favors we're doing a box w/10 Hershey's Kisses in it with a tag that says 'Hugs & Kisses from the Future Mr & Mrs'

i just went to a backyard bday party this wknd...each table had some chips in the center. honestly, no one missed the CP cuz we were all preoccupied with the snacks

just an idea...

for my e-party, i just bought flowers myself...cut them down and stuck them in that floral styrofoam. made my own arrangement. pretty cheap and easy

I had my engagement party in the backyard (my FH's) also. Pics of what I had for CP in my photo album.

Re: Engagement Party

we had a sit down dinner with closest family only like 20 people or so, and my florist made up something really simple:

they looked like mini fishbowls about the size of a volleyball and filled them up with water a bit put pink lillies (i think) floating along with white floating candles, it looked really pretty
