Engagement Party

Engagement Party

My DJ asked me for a list of songs for certain things during the engagement party.

I have a few questions though!

Is it traditional for me and my fiance to have a slow dance together alone (kind of like a 'first dance')?

I am thinking of having a bridal party introduction so everyone will be familiar my bridal party and to make the bridal party feel special. Do you think this is a cute idea?

Also, any song introductions you ladies can recommend? Thank you

I've been to engagement parties where people have a 1st dance with their fiance.

As for the bridal party introduction, I'd probably skip that. I feel that it's very easy for engagement parties to feel like weddings. If you start incorporating the bridal party into the introductions, at the engagement party, it'll take away from the excitement at the wedding.

We didn't do anything but cut the cake. We also can be shy at times.

All I did was hang out with my guests and fiance. You could do a first dance, but I wouldn't introduce the BP.
