Engagement party attire

So I have an engagement party to go to next sat for FH best friend. It's at a fire house. I was wondering what to wear. I'm thinking it's not too dressy, but dressy-casual, if that makes sense? I have some ideas but wondering what u girls thought.

i went to one last year at a firehouse and i wore a black dress actually

Lol I just went to one last night at a firehouse!

Girls were mostly wearing skirts or not fancy dresses... I couldn't even convince FH to not wear jeans!
