engagement party attire

So my engagement party is coming up in 2 weeks. It is going to be held in a restaurant party room. I am not quite sure what to wear. It isn't going to be formal, but I want to stand out. Any ideas? I am not very good at doing my own hair either. Any suggestions for hair? Thanks

Mine was a luncheon at a restaurant. You can see my dress in my album. It was from Forever21. I wanted to be dressed up but not over dressed.

I wore a black and white dress--it was simple but no one was more dressed up than I was. You can check my album if you want to see the dress!

You can't go wrong with a simple white sundress or maxi dress! Especially now that the wear is getting warmer.

And for your hair, I love the look of a sockbun! It's soooo simple and a great updo.

I wore a sun dress at a backyard BBQ so it was obvious that I stood out but not over dressed.

Mine was at a restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, I was up in the air about what to wear also. I bought a dress from Aqua at Bloomingdales, it was a peplum style dress. Dressed it up with cute heels and nice jewelery. Aqua always has cute stuff, check it out!

I wore my hair like I normally do and just curled the ends with a curling iron. I'm sure everything will turn out great!

I'm not having an engagement party but I love to go to BCBG for all of my dresses. They have simple ones as well as fancier cocktail dresses.

I always have luck at Century 21 for dresses. As for hair, if you don't want to do it yourself, is there an Ulta around you? I've never had anyone do my hair as nicely as the woman at Ulta and they are beyond affordable.
