i wanted to wear white, but I also wanted to have a floor-length summer dress. I searched, and couldn't find anything that wasn't under $200!!! So I opted to get this dress from igigi.com
ETA: I am also having a backyard BBQ engagement party.

I had an ivory colored dress picked out for mine.. Last minute I changed it cause it looked funny with my skin tone and blonde hair.. I switched to blue, but I originally wanted a white or ivory dress!

I wore a beautiful Ivory dress (that was as close to white as I could find!) I got it at Bloomingdales... so try there!
