Engagement Party Favors

Please post recommendations...what about a box of mints or something? Our engagement party is a dinner at an Italian restaurant, so maybe people will have garlic breath?

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I had my e-party in June and FMIL went to Kerris candies and bought the chocolate wedding cake molds. It is a 3-dimensional 3-teir mini wedding cake with a bride and groom on top. We did it in white chocolate and put the iridescent powder on them. We then wrapped them in a decorative celophane and tied with a bow. They were such a hit and they were delicious!!!

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I am having my e-party this saturday. We ordered personalized Hershey bars from Wrap-it-up (a local women in farmingdale). She even puts your picture on the wrapper with whatever you want said. On the back for ingredients she has something to the affect of: 100% love, 2 hands, 2 hearts, etc. They look great. Sorry I don't have a picture. They were 1.75 each with the picture on the wrapper. (no picture is 1.50 each). Good Luck.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

For our e-party last October we gave out little frosted pillow boxes with M&M's. I had the pillow boxes imprinted with 2 toasting champagne glassess and out names and the date in white and the M&M's were blue - our theme color. I also tied a white ribbon around the top left and bottom right corners of the pillow box so the bow was on the top left (so it didn't block the imprinting) We gave out 1 per person and they were a huge hit...so many people called me the next day and said they ate them on the way home!!

Good luck!

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I made chocolate roses and put them in litle plastic bags tied with ribbons. Then I made little tags that said:

He loves me, he loves me not,
He loves me, so we're tying the knot!

However, the party was on a hot august day, so I FORGOT to give them out. The chocolates were all nicely arranged in a basket in the refrigerator in the basement!

I give them out as I see people. I am going to give them out to people during the holidays. For now, they sit in my basement in the fridge and wait.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I like the ideas of the mints. Jean M has a magazine that has really cute mint containers and they say things like'Mint to be'!

I also like the idea of giving a STD magnet to your guests at the E party. I think its a cute idea. Either that or stick it in with the Thank you's.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I am doing very easy, cheap and simple favors (DIY). I am buying tealight candles and votive holders (they have a very fluted top, so a votive looks silly in it), wrapping it in tulle with a small ribbon, then putting on a personalized ribbon. I did these for a bridal shower in May, made 50 for for about $1 each. FM if you want a pic.

I made the centerpieces too

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I had bags of vellum filled w/hershey kisses and hugs and added a note
' Hugs & Kisses from the future Mr. & Mrs.

I also had the placecards set in the holders and those were cheap. (worked out to be 0.90)
I believe I ordered w/ Wrap with us.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I bought them from theknot.com

Under $1 each and that included the personalization. It was a deal of the day type thing and that price was good for one day only. They are a bit more now.
