Engagement Party Favours?

Engagement Party Favours?

Do people give out favours at engagement parties? What is a good idea to give out? I'm thinking something candy related. Does anyone have any simple/cheap ideas that will please all kinds of people?

or should I not even do engagement favours? What's your take?

I've been debating the same thing. I think we are going to have our save-the-dates ready for the eparty and hand them out there. If anyone doesnt come to the eparty we will just mail them one. We were also thinking of doing chocolate wedding bands (like the choc mold).

I'd love some input also.

We didn't give out favors at our engagement party.... didn't think it was necessary and figured it was better to save for the wedding. Completely up to you if you want to or not!

My FH's aunt made sugar cookies that were in the shape of a champagne bottle with two smaller heart cookies. She used our colors with the icing and personalized them with our info. They were really cute!

I am trying to build up a little baking business on the side and am making my signature ittiebittie brownie cupcakes and ordered cute packaging to put them in from littlethingsfavors:

I agree with what most people are saying. It's not really mandatory, and if you do, do something yummy!

My borther's girlfriend's uncle owns bakery. He made us engagement ring & heart cookies for a VERY reasonable price.

We did candy mints and wrapped up with white paper with plain ribbon. We personalized it with mini pic of us tied with the ribbon.

I decided against favors for the e-party...didnt think anyone would miss them

We did little boxes filled with candy and a mint that said 'two hearts, one love'. Then we tied a ribbon around the box. But you don't have to have a favor for the engagement party, it's up to you.

We did boxes filled with personalized Hershey Kisses and Reeses peanut butter cups. I also had personalized mint tins made to put on top of the boxes.

We didn't. I didn't even think of that and nobody missed them or mentioned where are they anyway. I don't think they were expecting a favor.

I think just at the bridal shower...

You can do a bag of hershey kisses with 'enjoy some kisses from the future Mr and Mrs.'

I had favors but lightly decorated so I used the favor as part of my decorations. I ordered from pricewisefavors.com. They had a nice selection and good prices. I don't think anything edible though
