Engagement Party Help!

Hey all-

So I was wondering who actually gets invited to the e-party. I've heard that you invite all who gets invited to the weding, but then it will be like 120 people-- and It may get really expensive.

If i leave some people out, I will feel really bad, since most of the wedding guests are really close friends and family.

What did you all do-- and did you have it at a hall, restaurant or someones house?

We had it at my sister & my fbil house.. we had 130 invited or something crazy! It was a lot of fun but if I could do it again I would probably do something more intimate.. HTH

I only invited closed family. We had about 90 people but it was in a backyard and people came late or left early.

My guest list for the wedding is double who was at the E party.

We only invited immediate family and a few friends. I don't think it is necessary to invite everyone that is going to be invited to the wedding because then it basically costs as much as the wedding. If you only invite family then no one can be offended.

We invited BP, immediate family, local grandparents and some aunts uncles cousins. Don't go crazy

We actually had 2 parties. One for our families at a restaurant (60ish people) and then a BBQ for our BP and friends (30 ish). The BBQ lasted over 9 hours! We couldn't get people to leave LOL
