I've been LIF haven't been on LIW in a while and returned to help my sister out -- she just got over New Years No date is set yet, but my parents would like have some sort of Engagement party for them.
My mom was thinking: -somewhere in Queens ( is from Howard Beach and is from Ridgewood); -approx. 50 people; -a place with seperate party room; -a range of entrees 's & family don't like Italian/Seafood and 's family likes Italian/Seafood - we want to keep everyone happy. I guess something like a Bar~n~Grill or something like The White House in Whitestone -- We've never been there, is that a bar~n~grill?
Please post/FM me with any suggestions, along with if you have menus/prices/websites. Any help would be really appreciated.

I have been to the white house. It' slike a small catering hall. It has pretty good food that I can remember. There is also cafe on the green. and Verdi's of whitestone.

Yeah we thought of Roma View, its really the Seafood - baked clams, calamari - things like that. That's the problem not the Italian (I don't think).
I think more of a meat place.

I also think you should look at cafe on the green in bayside, or how about mateo's in howard beach

i know someone who said they have gone to alot of parties there and that the food is amazing...just a suggestion.

My FH's family has like all of their parties there - they have a really nice room that is seperate from the bar - this would probably be a good choice - they have a good variety of food there too

Our E-party was at Villa Marcello in Ozone Park - the food and service was excellent

austins steak and ale house in kew gardens (austin street and lefferts blvd) has a nice room and great food...also Dee's on metropolitan ave they have food its Mediterranean and Italian food they have a good variety too
