Engagement Party Question

We are thinking of having and engagement party in the new few months and we are thinking of places to hold it. Not too big and nice. Prob. around 80 people with a d.j.

Any suggestions on halls or restaurants that can hold that amount and that aren't too pricey?

Thinking of looking at CoCo's Water Cafe or a small room at a large catering hall. Prob. at friday night or sunday afternoon affair in the summer.

I had my engagement party at a local American Legion Hall. We had it catered and had a DJ. IF you want something fancier than that try the Smithtown Landing Country Club.

We had ours as a Sunday afternoon affair. It was at the 'Micheal's' in Sayville on the South Shore. Very nice & elegant place. The price was right and Micheal the owner and cook is willing to work with the price. There are 3 private party rooms there, depends on how many guest. There is a lake out back. The food was out of this world. There is a dance floor center of the larger room. Here is info if you are interested:
