Are you supposed to bring gifts? The couple is having a party in the park tomorrow afternoon and I am not sure what to bring if anything. Any suggestions? TIA

Yes you should bring a gift. If they are registered I would pick something from there or a check. hth

Cash! Like 100 would be good, or do they have a registry? Maybe something off their registry?

Re: Engagement party question
Gifts at engagement parties are optional, they are not required. At my engagement party (about 167 people) we didnt receive gifts from some people, some people bought us a bottle of champagne, some people bought things off of our registry (like china, crystal) some people gave cash and others just gave us cards.
With that being said, I normally give a small gift when I go to an engagement party (normally cash - how much they get depends on how close we are with them). I know that I certainly appreciated the cash after my engagement party, it helped us so much with the wedding.

Re: Engagement party question
Thank you ladies for your help they don't have a registry but DH said that we should give a bottle of champagne. I thought that the money would be appreciated more but wasn't sure of the etiquette.
