I have been looking around for a restaurant for my engagement party but can't find anywhere. We are inviting approx 110 people so I am guessing we need a big restaurant . Please let me know if you know of any places (Suffolk and Nassau) that is worth taking a look.
I would love to hear everyone's advice!

Re: Engagement Party Restaurants?
Thanks girls. Here is my scenario with Sans Souci... My brother drowned a few years back so my family can't be near water... it is too emotional. AND- my fiance's grandfather passed away in December- they have the tradition that they can't have any celebrations (dancing and music) until a year has passed-- they are from Italy. So- I am in a predicament... I need to find a restaurant, that is not near water, fits about 110, and is not 'hall'ish' with dancing and music. I know this is so confusing for you all but- every wedding has its quirks... right? lol
Any other suggestions?!?!

What about the Milleridge or the Fox Hollow, like in the restaurant parts. Or the Blue Honu in Huntington has a nice room upstairs that there is definitely no room for dancing in. I'm not sure how many people it will accommodate. My friend also just had her shower at Gemelli's in Babylon and that accomodated a lot of people too. There's also the Carriage House in Babylon or Gatsby's in Islip. HTH

Re: Engagement Party Restaurants?
I LOVED my e-party location. All of our guests loved it, too. We live on LI, but we held it at Frankie and Johnnie's - The Pine in the Bronx. It was BEAUTIFUL! It is mostly indoor, but they have a gorgeous outdoor patio that's HUGE. It's a perfect Italian restaurant setting, with a dance floor, if the mood strikes. I think you can even ask them to set the whole thing up outside. But, with this place, at least you have the option of bringing it inside. We were a little hesitant about having it in the Bronx since a lot of people were coming from LI, but everyone was so impressed at how fast they got there! And it was a PERFECT centralized location for guests who were coming from CT, PA, NJ, Staten Island, Manhattan, LI, etc. No complaints! Just raves! And it was a perfect day! I didn't mention one of the BEST parts... the FOOD. TO DIE FOR! I'm still hearing about the food and the napolean cake we had! OMG! Go for dinner there to check it out... even if you decide not to have the party there, it's a great night out!
