Engagement Party Thank You Cards

Hi Ladies –

So as I mentioned in other posts, my engagement party was this past weekend. Now I am thinking about Thank You’s and need your advice/feedback.

I am thinking of getting some Thank you’s printed from vistaprint etc but am trying to decide whether or not it’s okay to have something printed in them – with a printed “thank you message” and just write in the names or if I need to write them out individually (as we will do for the wedding)

I know that it would obviously be better to write them all out personally but I’ve been so busy at work lately I’m a little nervous that I will keep pushing them off and it’ll take too long to send out

Sorry to say it, but I think you need to handwrite them. Not sure how your family and friends are but from my experience and experiences I have witnessed, people really get offended with the pre-printed thank you's.

I think I am going to as well. I knew it would be better from the beginning I was just worried, since I get home so late from work (2 hr commute each way). I will try to get some done on the train!

I took me forever to get my thank you'd out for the engagement party because I didn't want to have to write them out. 2 months later we finally got out the family ones. FH n I both decided that our bridal party probably doesn't give a sh*t and they'll get theirs when they get em. Let's hope it's before my bridal shower ;)

I totally get not having time bc of work but FH and I took one weekend afternoon with wine for me and beer for him and just banged out about 60 thank you cards. It is so much nicer getting them handwritten.
