Is anyone having an engagement party theme? My FSIL keeps asking if I am and what my colors are. I'm doing blue for my E-party but gold for my wedding - does it matter if they're not the same? FH & I didn't want the e-party to become a mini wedding we wanted it to be more low key

im doing pink and silver and white double hearts for my e-party, and pastel daisies for my wedding, so they're two completely different things... :)

we are having our eparty outside - actually this sunday! woohoo! lol....the tent, tables, chair and linens are white......we got tons of votive candles, we got hurricane vases as centerpieces with white candles (the bottom of the vases are filled with white, clear and navy blue sea glass), we got tons of tiki torches to surround the tent, we got all real china and glasses for dinner but for cake and dessert we got all paper products that are navy blue, our cake is white and navy blue writing, and we're having a chinese buffet so our place card holders are silver wonton cookies (so cute ), and the favors that will be on the table are white and blue glass painted boxes that have designs on them - one is cherry blossoms, one is bamboo - they are that asian design i'm not sure what it is called - the blue and white china - anyway they are filled with chocolates and goodes .....so its not really themed but everything kind of matches....

I'm hoping to do an engagement party close to Valentine's Day and I want to do black, white and red for the colors. My wedding is on Halloween so I'm going to be doing fall colors. (Anyone notice I seem to like holidays?)

Hmm, i dont think you have to have much of a theme. A friend of mine had no theme, just simple and it was nice... However..if you are having a destination wedding...huge engagement parties are the way to go... this way people dont feel theyare missing out on anything...
I have e-party pics in 2 albums. I just used brown and blue things. I had so much fun at my e-party.

My friend is trying to pressure me into having an engagement party around Halloween so we could have a costume party. I thought it was cute but not really for me. We decided to wait until the spring anyway.
