Engagement Party Timeline

So I booked the place for my Engagement Party and I already have my invitations but the Engagement Party isn't until August. When do you ladies think the invites should go out? I mean most of the people invited know about it so I don't think it would be a shock for them to get it in the mail but I feel like summer is such a busy time and people are always going away I definitely want to beat the guests summer plans and make it on their top priority lists!

Is the end of April beginning of May too early?

having this same issue! my engagement party is end of july but i feel like even if i send out the invites in may people will have already booked vacations and everything... i dont want to look psycho sending invites out 4 months in advance though

My concern would be if people loose or misplace an invitation because the event is months from now. It does happen.... I think late May is good. it mirrors the proper time of sending out your wedding invitations.

My engagement party was early September and we sent our invitations out early August. We didn't want people to forget about it loose the invitation. We were the same, all immediate family and most people knew about it
