engagement party venue??

engagement party venue??

trying to plan an engagement party for about 3000 dollars or less with 100 people.. is that impossible without having it in my backyard? does anyone know any nice/low cost halls or catering facilitys on long island they can recommend? I cant seem to find anything :(

Most restaurants charge approx $32 pp. plus tax.

Sergios in Massapequa is just under $20pp. I think 100 is their max. The owner there is Mike. It's good, not fancy but just a basic Italian restaurant, nothing too modern.

Check out Bella Verde in Brentwood. We just had my moms 50th surprise party there a few weeks ago and it was great. The room overlooks a golf course, and it has a private outside patio as well. We had about 60 people and it cost us in total for the venue $2700. That included your choice of an unlimited amount of 4 passed horderves, choice of 6 chaffing trays, unlimited wine, beer and soda, and a cake.

Not sure where you want it, but Pompei's in Hempstead is where my mom threw my shower and I doubt it was very expensive. They have different rooms there that you can choose from too. After hearing about my mom talk about this place, a teacher at her school then booked her daughters sweet 16 there. Also, I know that my mom's school has a bunch of retirement parties there too!

Vina de Villa in medford! My package includes open bar, top tier food package etc and it comes out to like $50ish pp total. They have more basic packages that are alot less. Call Brian- he is the best! Tell him Adeline sent you....I've given him alot of business so I'm sure he will give you the best price possible. They always have worked within my budget. And the food is AMAZING!

I don't know if you want to DIY, but we are doing a engagement party in a month and are doing it ourselves. It saved us SO SO much money. Look into renting a room, like a rec hall type room or a community center room. Then all you need to do is really maybe hire a DJ and some food, decorate the place with your friends and invite whoever you want. We are actually having family make all the food and putting it chaffing dishes and sternos, our dj was only around 300 for the night, and we are decorating ourselves with our friends. The whole party is going to cost under 1000 dollars :)

Shandon Court in east islip is pretty good and they have 2 rooms that fit your amount of guests. Their website has the pricing on it. And here are some places that are a little out of the box but I've been to parties there and it was great

Their catering menu prices range from $25- $35 depending on what kind of food you want. It's all listed on their website.
56 Fighter Group has a private room upstairs with a fireplace. (not sure the price)
