ENGAGEMENT PARTY - WITH PICTURES!!!
Oh my gosh - this was the best weekend of my LIFE. Although it drizzled, there was no breeze and we were completely covered so it actually made for a very romantic setting. When our families arrived at my house (where the party was), everyone introduced each other and ended up commingling the entire time. The food was absolutely delicious (thank you to The Country House, especially Bob<3... they catered our party), the flowers were beautiful (Open House Country Florist - Nancy Munch) and the entertainment was fabulous (George Nichols Music - loved him).
The 'after party,' which consisted of drinking and opening presents with our parents, siblings and my aunt and uncle (soontobecruz's dad and stepmom), was just as much fun as the party. My dad and FFIL were like long lost brothers - smoking cigars, drinking and cracking jokes every other second... and mom and FMIL and all our siblings all loved each other. And of course my aunt and uncle being there just added more life to the 'party.' Then my FILs stayed in our guest house and breakfast the next morning with everyone was relaxing and wonderful. And of course FH stayed with us on the third floor the entire weekend so we got to spend even more time together than we usually do. It may sound like I am exaggerating but everything was truly perfect and I never dreamt it would be this wonderful. I cannot say enough about this weekend - it was sooo special.<3
