FH and I are big time foodies, and we love Brooklyn (for the food, fun & people). We're going to do ours in Williamsburg Bk, and some how incorporate food trucks/being foodies in it. There are a lot of cool outdoor restaurants/bars there.
What are the two of you into/like to do together?

My friend did her wedding photos at a bowling alley and they came out amazing! An amusement park sounds like a great idea and I saw some great ones done at a local carnival! Maybe something like a Dave and Busters. They have bowling and games. I don;t know. Throwing some ideas out there. I am old fashioned and doing Old Westbury Gardens

If you want an amusement park, you could do Adventure Land - but there's a fee required (don't know it though). That's where we're going for our wedding photos.
As for our engagement photos, I also want something different. I'm thinking of going to the old World's Fair grounds - the structures that are left are amazing! I'm not going to do anything until Nov, so I have sometime.
You could also ask your photographer for any suggestions? Mine is so off the wall (love it), I can't wait to ask him for suggestions!

If you end up doing adventure land, let me know how it goes!! And I'm sure whatever location you choose, your photos will be beautiful :)

FH and I went to Dumbo yesterday...we went to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Every Sunday, they have this this called I think Smorgasboard? It takes place in an abandoned tobacco mill - you can actually see it in a lot of photos if you google 'dumbo engagement photos'. Anyway, they have about 85 food stands there of all independant restaurants. We tried a bunch of stuff--ate it while looking at the beautiful Manhatten skyline. I know LadyReeRee (Maria) on here is having her pics taken there!!
I think for our e-shoot with our photographer... We're gonna do montauk for more 'traditional'pictures even though we have some fun ideas...
and I think i'm going to have my cousin do a shoot for us at the abandoned pilgrim state buildings with the color chalk that we can throw at each other :)
Also.. NIKOLE... my FH is the one obsessed with zombies! lol

We go there at least twice a month! Thats where FH proposed!!! Right by the water in between the brooklyn and williamsburg bridges. That's why we're having our engagement photo's there. It's such a fun area, we're thinking about living there for a year after we get married!

Bahahaha, that would be my FH. He's super obsessed with zombies. I'm going to show him this soon. Maybe we can do half romantic pictures and half zombie ones.

Keep in mind if the e-pics are going to be used for anything specific(Save the Dates or Decor at the Wedding, Online Posting etc)that might help you make a decision. Example I used mine for my Engagement Party invites so I stuck with a more traditional pic, but if I was using one for a Save the Date I'd try to complement my wedding theme/scheme/season..this way its not like summer time Beach pics on a Save the Date for an Urban Winter Wonderland wedding (for example) lol

I was thinking of doing mine at Belmont Racetrack where FH and I met at a school reunion. My only issue is I'm not sure if there are any nice spots within the racetrack to take pictures.
