Engagement Photos at wineries/out east

I am booking Duet as the photographer for our wedding. I was hoping to do our engagement photos out east, definitely at a winery and maybe somewhere else. Should I be calling wineries to ask if this is allowed? Any recommendations for wineries that we would get some nice photos?

Also any suggestions on places to get our pictures taken out east? I think Duet said they would travel about 50 miles??

THANKS for your help!!

I contacted Martha Clara and they charge $250 to use their property. Is this typical? Anyone know any places that are a bit less expensive??

Baiting Hollow just asks for a donation to their horse rescue. It's very rustic. We did e-pics there.

Thanks Lori0413! Any chance you have any e-photos that I can see? I'm pretty sure we are going to use that place...especially since we are getting married next door - Giorgios :)

Sure! They're on Fade to Black's Facebook page. I think this link should bring you right to the album:

I also did my e-pics there and had a great time! They give you full run of the property and you can take a pic with a horse if you arrange it ahead of time. Most photographers do e-pics on weekdays since they shoot weddings on weekends. That will work out for you since the vineyard tends to be less crowded then!
