Engagement Photos - Location and Outifts

Does anyone have any reccomendations for locations of engagement shoots - beaches and parks? Also, what types of outfits should my fh and I wear? Colors? Patterns? Thanks!

I've been thinking of this too, since we tentatively scheduled ours for early Sept. We're going to have our e-pics taken at the Coney Island boardwalk b/c it's sentimental to us.... that's where we had our 2nd date, and we spend a lot of time there (his parents live a few blks away). Actually, my avatar photo is from FH and I playing with my camera phone at the boardwalk in May 2007.

As for clothing, the photographer in me is thinking wear something pretty and either classic or totally 'you' that won't blend into the background. For example, if you're going to take photos with the fall leaves in the background, I wouldn't wear a lot of red, orange, yellow or brown, because that would totally blend in. You want to stand out, but not be totally trendy (unless that's your true everyday or inner style) because the photos will be around for years to come. Think of those wedding photos from the '80s, where you KNOW exactly what year they're taken because of the big puffy sleeves and big hair.

And now having said all that, I HAVE NO IDEA what I'm going to wear myself!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Actually, I'd like to hear what other brides think b/c I need some help too!
