So we are getting married in less than a month and stilllll have not taken our engagement pictures!!!! FH just suggested that we take them after our HM when we are all tan and use them as a holiday card... is this crazy???

I mean it's up to you.But the reality is they will not be engagement pics because you will be married.

I think you should take them if your planning on dislaying a few at the wedding. If not then totally wait!! I wish I did,,because I took mine 2 weeks before and I was very pale looking in them. We didnt even display them so I really should've waited! Good luck!

i thought about this too since we don't have a long engagement and there's so many things to do for the wedding. so i say if you don't need them now, u may as well wait, instead of rushing them, plus they could be your 'newlywed' pics instead

We never took engagement pictures so decided on a 'day after shoot'. We did the shoot about a month after our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend doing this. Not only do you get to put on your wedding dress again, but it was SO much fun!! Our videographer, Wild Rose, came to film it and it's actually going to be posted on their vendor page soon! It's really up to you. We just took ours Mid-September, but I wanted to incorporate some of the pics from the e-shoot in the wedding (for the guest book and ceremony programs), so that was important for us to do it first. But as it's getting closer, there's also so many things going on, it may be more relaxing to take them afterwards (?) Either way, I'm sure they will be great!

if they are included in your photo package ,as ours were, I would do them before, especially if it is your wedding photographer who takes them. this way you get to know how he works and he gets to know your personalities better for the more important wedding pics. When we got our e-pics we noticed we were not smiling that well and looked very serious and I think this helped us to do better with posing for the wedding. HTH

If you're getting married in a MONTH, taking e-pics would be the last thing on my mind...

Not trying to be rude at all but what would be the point in taking 'engagement' pictures after the wedding? I'm totally baffled as to why one would do this. I used my e-pics to send out announcements but if I took them after the wedding then I would have no use for them and it would be pointless and a waste of money. Help a clueless girl out y'all! Anyway, I say go with a day after shoot. Every 'day after' shoot I've seen has looked wonderful. Everyone is in a more relaxed mood and their is no pressure in regards to getting to the reception on time, the sun setting, etc.
