FH and I live in DC so it's a little difficult for us to get back to Long Island. We'll be there for over a week during Christmas so I scheduled our engagement session on December 27th at 1pm. Any idea where we could go? It's so hard to predict what the weather will be like then. Are there any good indoor/outdoor locations that you can think of? I'd prefer not to spend a fortune on permits either.

What about EAB Plaza and you can take some pictures with the tree? There is also a skating rink there

i was going to suggest this too but i know your FH is jewish-- so maybe just go to an ice skating rink or even EAB but he can take pics of you too skating and NOT of the tree lol.... or you can bundle up and just take pics in a park-- really cute sipping hot chocolate out of a thermus with hats, gloves, etc -- the whole thing!

there is always the city-- so pretty in the winter-- like taking pics of you two in front of the sky line. there is a particular place (i'm sure the photog will know) that you two can go to and have pics of you-- with the water and city skyline in the background!!

old westbury gardens has a mansion that you can take pics inside of. very pretty!

It's in Uniondale, right across the street from Nassau Coliseum & it is free

oh god, OWG is beautiful inside!!!! but the only thing is-- they DECK it out for x-mas so i don't know if you want like x-mas decor ALL over the place in the pics...
it's absolutely stunning tho

Yeah the city can be a treck...
I like the aquarium idea a lot-- REALLY different!! How cool with all the fish in the background? like in those tunnels?? beautiful-- good idea

I dunno where u can go but anythng with x-mas lights and trees is pretty. I know someone who took their pics at a seasonal indoor outdoor holiday store.. The outside was all lit up trees being sold with ornaments and stuff.. it was cute! they had a blast.
