Engagement pics? Who & how much?

I need to have some pix done so Sonic Stef can design the announcement cards FI agreed to have done.

So far I got quotes for 100 pix - $300 (Duet) & unlimited pix $400 (angelicaglass).

I also tried to contact 12th night a few times but have never gotten an e-mail back or a return call.

Who else does engagement pix separate and apart from a wedding package?

How many pix? How long is the shoot? What are the fees? Turnaround time?

From my understanding, the way it usually works is that your wedding day photographer does your engagement shoots. All the places I met with included this in the price of the wedding photography. It might be cheaper then to find your photographer first and ask him/her to do your engagement shoot early (they normally do it a few months prior to the wedding). Hope this helps!

I totally agree. I'm using Twelfth Night and my engagement pics are FREE included in my package because I took two photographers. You'll do better if you call probably than if you e-mail. Ask for Dominic. 516-746-5346.

My photographer is a la carte with the packages, which works best for us. She charges $125. for an engagement shoot. She shoots a roll of film so you get about 24 proofs and pick out 8 for a folio. Her turn around time is two weeks. We shot our pictures last Tuesday at Heckshire St. Park in Huntington. It was really the last week to do an afternoon outdorrs shoot now that the time has changed.

Thanks ladies.

I tried calling 12th night as well as e-mail. I sent a couple of e-mails and then I called to leave a phone message. In that message I alerted them to my e-mail and said they could call me back or e-mail me back. Never heard a peep. That bothered me so I am not using them for anything.

We don't have a definite date yet (no hall picked) so I really can't select a wedding photographer.

I haven't used them for our engagement pics but they are our photographer and videographer and I'm so thrilled with them! I know they're going to do a great job and I highly recommend them.

nothing is free...it's included in your package... its a photo shot with a fancy word attached to it...

wait till you book photographer..

as for where, some go to a location of your choice, within reason (beach, park, etc)
