What did u wear?

I am having my pics done on the beach in the evening while the sun is setting and I wanted to wear my summer dress that I wore when he actually proposed, (there is a pic in my albums under The Proposal - I am tried to upload onto post but the jpg is too large..) FH say that I should wear something more casual..

What do you guys think...

I need some input..

TIA!!!!

Not too much pattern to your top or bottom.

Do NOT wear the same color as FH (you will blend into each other in the photos and it makes editing a challenge).

Be yourself - wear something you would normally wear! You won't want to look back and go - that so doesn't look like me....if you are a jeans & sweats couple - dress down and have fun! If you're a dress up couple - dress up and be classy!

If you want to wear the dress you wore when he proposed to you, then do that

We had our engagement photos taken this past Saturday and I wore the top that I wore after FH proposed to me (we went out on the town to celebrate), and FH wore the shirt that he wa wearing when he proposed. Even if no one else likes what we chose, we like them, and that's all that matters.

Also, I would recommend wearing a solid or something with limited print...I personally find prints distracting in engagement photos.

Re: Engagement Pictures

I wore a dress with a pattern. I like it so I didnt care... Take a look at my albums for my engagement pictures.

but think of what kind of feel you want your pictures to have. Do you want them to be casual or fancy?

PS - I like the dress you're thinking of wearing...the pattern is large enough that it's not overly distracting

You may also want to talk to your photographer about this...show him/her the photo of the dress and ask their opinion of wearing yellow if you'll be taking photos at around sunset.

My photographer made some suggestions to me about what to wear without me even asking (I think he's been around brides long enough to know that we stress out about these sort of things).

Re: Engagement Pictures

DH and I dressed sort of casual for our engagement pics. We ended up using them for our table numbers (as do a lot of girls on here) and I kind of regretting dressing so casually. Just something to consider if you are thinking about using them as your table numbers.

I definitely agree that it's probably best to wear a solid color (although I love that dress!).

I think the most important thing is to wear something you feel comfortable in and something that is totally YOU.

Everyone told me I couldn't wear a black dress - but I ALWAYS wear black - and if I didn't it would definitelynot be me and I wouldn't feel comfortable. So I wore black and my FH wore a blue suit - and the pictures came out great because we both felt really comfortable in what we are wearing - so pick whatever you like best!
