Did everyone take engagement pictures? I know a couple of people that did but my fiance and I really have no interest in spending money on that. Is it weird not to do them?
We are doing them. They are included in our package. Not sure I would have paid extra for them...but excited we have them included!
It depends...I personally think it's nice to have them done- it's a special time in your life and it's kind of like a memento.:) Mine were included in our package like most ppl. Some girls here use them for table numbers too (I wanted to but FH didn;t. We did have our engagement photo on the place card table though) but it's up to you. If you really don't want them then I would ask your photog to upgrade something or add something to your package in lieu of them.
Ours came with our photo package. I plan on using then for our STD's and our table numbers.
Like everyone else, mine were also included in my package with photographer so they were free. I am glad we did them though bc we had so much fun taking them. Another purpose for e-pics is to get comfortable in front of the camera, see how you interact with your photographer and see their style of shooting. DH was uncomfortable at first when we got there and said 'i dont know how to pose' but just minutes into it, she made him feel real comfortable and he had fun and was surprised he liked it. The other good thing was that she told him he has to relax his forehead and relax his lips bc in the pics he did the thing with his forehead with the lines, and his face was too tense bc of what he was doing with his lips lol. The good thing was that he remembered this for our wedding day and didn't do it. So its good to realize mistakes we make and not do them on wedding day.
we werent going to do them, but i really want them for the save the dates so we decided to do them now, but otherwise we would have skipped it, i dont think its weird at all no to do them
Mine are included in our package, however, FH has a friend who is a semi pro who did our 'non-pro e-pics' in my album, and we were content to just use him for free if we were able to get a cheaper price by deleting them from a package where it was offered standard. When we were told that it wouldn't lower the price by most of the people we saw, we figured we'd just keep it and use it for practice, since we're generally not the most photogenic or cooperative models.
it's not weird if you do not want to do them but most photographers include an engagement sitting in their packages so you may not be spending that much money to do them
