Engagement presents?

Don't know if any of you girls got suckered into this... before FH and I were engaged, I told him I would put $2000 in for a new tv once we were engaged as an 'engagement ring' for him. Anyone else do something crazy like this? At the time, I thought, oh whatever, it's a fraction of what he'll spend... now I have this monstrosity in my living room! Anyone else say/do anything crazy before getting engaged?

I bought FH an engagmenet present but I didnt go too crazy spending a lot.

Well, I didn't buy FH his humungo flat screen plasma HDTV (or whatever the heck it's called!), but it was the FIRST thing he went out bought once we decided to get married.

It must be a guy thing!

I got FH a white gold simple e-ring. He really wanted it so everyone knew he was engaged and I thought it was cute

I didn't promise it but FH has says more than once 'what does he get now that we are engaged' ...as if I weren't enough!!

He so wants a TV like that!

no but after moving in with him.. i decided we need a bigger tv in the living room, plus i got a plasma...

he loves me for that.. lol

Niiiiiice TV.........I told FH I was going to get him a Bulldog because he had told me we weren't getting engaged for years...but now that we are I keep telling him' we can't have a dog now A.) b/c of where we live and B.) b/c he won't clean up after it, he barely cleans up after himself, let alone a dog.

We want a bulldog too but it costs just as much as the tv... tv has no clean up, no early morning walks, you don't have to feed it.... tv won!

yeah llike i could ever afford anything like that lol....i thought jets tickets would top his present (for our anniversary) andwhat does he do? he goes out and spends nearly 2 grand on a necklace! i will never have him beat ever,.....i thought i had him last xmas , and then an hour goes by after we open presents, and he wips out another present, and its a mac book laptop! ugh

lol i wish i was a millionare cause i would buy him his dream truck

Yea me too...he has a 'man room'...the garage! He goes out there with his friends to play poker, im going to get him a nice sofa for it. And maybe a new girls gone wild poster,lol!
