Mine came from zales which worked out perfectly, b/c he also got the protection plan that came in handy for free sizing/ resizing, cleanings, redippings (white gold turns yellowish sometimes), theft protection, and replace broken/missing stones. I've had my ring for over a year and used just about all of these items (including theft). I wear it a lot, even when I shouldn't!!

FH went to Good Old Gold...it took him a year to find a ring that was up to his standards, and of all the places he went to he felt most confident in their ability.

We got my center stone from my uncle who is a retired jeweler, and a jeweler in CT made the setting.

The diamond from bluenile. Not one jeweler could give us a better price.

www.bluenile.com

He was nervous about getting the stone there, but one of the artsy fartsy ring designers we visited actually recommended that he get the diamond online.

I wanted something something a little different for the ring design, so the stone was set later.

And then I got my wedding band from there, perfection. No problems.
