Is your ring what you had imagined it would it would look like?
One of my friends picked out her 'ideal future ring' and prepped me with info in case her boyfriend ever asks. Another friend said she wants her ring to be from X jewelry designer.
I never really had anything picked out so it's hard to say! When FH first asked me what kind of ring I'd like I had no idea.

The only think i new was that I wanted princess.... other than that, i really did not start looking at different designs until maybe 2 months b/4 we got engaged... and at that point he had already started making my ring!

i always wanted a princess cut stone, and i absolutely loved it in a trellis setting w/ princess channel set side diamonds. we were in the diamond district and found what was my 'dream ring', and when i tried it on, it made my fingers look even shorter and stubbier than they already are. i was so upset cause i LOVED that setting, but i'm glad i tried it on, and instead realized i needed a thin setting, channel set is too thick for my fingers. so now i have a princess stone, but w/ a small princess on each side, and a baguette next to the small princess stone, and it fits my finger beautifully.

I always thought I wanted a solitaire princess cut diamond, and then when I really started looking at them I'm glad FH got me a ring with sidestones.

I had no idea what kind of ring I wanted, only elements of rings that I liked or didn't like....I think FH did a good job of capturing all the things I love into one ring. It is going to have to change a little bit though, b/c it is set in a basket setting and I want my wedding band to sit flush with my ering....so they will be raising the stone :(

Me neither... well, I guess I just didn't want yellow gold, and there were a few shapes I wasn't crazy about, but I never really thought about it!

I received a bigger stone then I suggested ( not complaining) and a much more elaborate setting , but I LOVE IT!!!!

i wanted a pear solitaire set in either white gold or platinum with a high setting - there was a specific stone shape i wanted though - b/c pear stones come in different length to width proportions - none of them are wrong its more of a preference - i didnt want a long and skinny stone i wanted a fuller stone more round with a point - so i showed FH pictures of pear stones that i really liked and stones that i didnt like...i was really nervous b/c i really dont care for certain pear cuts....he surprised me with a perfectly shaped stone - in platinum, a high setting and it was bigger than i could have ever imagined its perfect i LOVE it

Mine is totally different!! I thought I wanted a single princess cut diamond and then I tried one on and didn't like it on me. So then I thought I wanted a solitare round diamond. But I LOVE my ring more than any other ring I thought I wanted.

FH had no idea what an antique setting was and I showed him one online. That ring turned out to be what I got!

My fiance knew I liked white colored metals as opposed to yellow gold. Other than that the ring was a total surprise and it's awesome!

I always loved Tacori designs. I had shown FH a few in magazines that I liked. It really was his decision. The only guideline I gave him was that I did not want a Tiffany setting. I am very hard on my jewelry and wanted a sem-bezel setting. The rest was up to him. He had mine made at a local jeweler and I it.

Def more than what i imagined and asked for!!! I always wanted Pear ... i think it is so unique and i said i didnt want any side stones....so i got a beautiful pear ring with a pave diamond band....FH did an EXCELLENT job!!!!!!

all i ever said in passing was that i loved princess AND ermald cut stones. I had no idea i was even getting engaged when i did and he designed it himself. I was toatlly surprised with everyhting
