Is your ring what you had imagined it would it would look like?

One of my friends picked out her 'ideal future ring' and prepped me with info in case her boyfriend ever asks. Another friend said she wants her ring to be from X jewelry designer.

I never really had anything picked out so it's hard to say! When FH first asked me what kind of ring I'd like I had no idea.

FH and I had checked out rings months prior...what I thought was just kinda casually looking and I showed him what I liked...I never mentioned the size of a stone or anything like that...but I told him I wanted a princess cut solitaire...and he listened

the cut is exacty what i wanted and i wanted side stones... but FH took it a step further and made the plain ring i had in my had 1000 times better!!

We never went to look at e-rings.. and I never really had any in mind either. FH went shopping by himself and picked it out all alone- and he did a great job!

He tried so I love it because he really tried. I wanted an antique setting and showed him pics of things I liked but when he went to pick it out he couldnt find one like what I wanted so he went with his approximation of it....

Its fine. It was picked out with love and thats all that matters.

yep! He got me exactly what I asked for...but either way it wouldn't of mattered...it came from the heart and thats what matters most

i always wanted a SAPPHIRE engagement ring never wanted a diamond i just like something a little different....just the way i am and that is what i got a beautiful 1 carat sapphire oval cut center stone with two round cut diamonds on the side...

he asked if i had any specific setting in mind.. i told him what i liked.. and i thought it would blow right off him.. but he got me the most beautiful ring ever.. exactly how i had envisioned it to be..

told DH i wanted 3 stone----round cut...didn't care about size or metal. he got me just what i wanted--and even a lil bigger than i had wanted (i didn't want him spending a lot) it wound up being perfect and i'm beyond happy with it.

i got to help design my ring, i got to see it in all the peices and once we decided on it i wasnt alowed to see it anymore. but its more then i could have ever asked for!

I knew I wanted a Rita Fusaro ring (she does amazing antique style work - her website link ).

I showed him some pictures of rings that I liked and he picked out my fave!

i always wanted a bezzel(sp) set ring, but FH i don think liked it pluse my engagement was a totaly surprise.. my only MUST HAVE was a pear shape center stone!! i love my ring its perfect!

My co-workers and I used to go onto debeers and create our own engagement rings when we were bored lol.

I always wanted an heart shaped stone since I love anything hear shaped. Almost every piece of jewelry I own is heart shaped. I'm a dork

But my FSIL convinced my FH to get me a round cut. She said I would grow out of it once I got older. It didn't really matter because my ring is beautiful just the way it is

i never really picked a certain ring....dont get me wrong i pick out a lot in the mags but i just like things that shine lol

I got exactly what I wanted.
My sister went with him to help look for rings and since she didn't know what I wanted she asked me to send her a picture. Well I went to one of those sites where you can design the ring you want and sent it to her. Its an asscher cut diamond with 1 baguette and 2 round stones on both sides with a platinum band. When they went to look she gave him the picture. He went back on his own to purchase a ring the next time and he handed the jeweler the picture. When he asked if he wanted to look at anything else, my dear FH replied 'nope that is what she made, no sense looking at anything else, just make that'
