Engagement session

I was wondering about all those wedding photo packages that include an engagement session. I am thinking of using Patken and was wondering where they actually shoot the session. Is it in house or out? Does anyone have any experiences or pics of the engagement sesison??? It says we get 1-8x10 and 8-12 proofs.

we are doing our engagement pics with Steve from patken on 7/23.
I wanted to take mine on the beach but it seems there was an extra fee for doing that and who needs extra fees now? if they were wedding pics I'd spend whatever.
You can take them in the studio or outside where they recommend to where they don't charge an extra fee.
i'll post my pics after i get them back.

We actually didn't have an engagement session included in our package when we booked but my photographer was kind enough to include it after the fact for FREE! So I didn't want to go too crazy with location or anything fancy. I just wanted some simple photos to include on our STD.

It took a few weeks (maybe 3 or 4) to get the photos back but we were not in a rush so that was just fine by me. Im sure I would have gotten them sooner if we had asked for them. We got 36 photos (1 roll) and took them right outside of our photographers office. The setting was picturesque and I think the photos came out nicely.
