Does anyone have any cool Engagement Shoot location ideas?? We got engaged in September, but are taking our pics this spring. I'm thinking Old Westbury Gardens or maybe Central Park.... I know you girls will give me great suggestions. Thanks!!!

Thanks! We went on a sun. morning around 9:00 I think. And yeah, a lot of the side streets were really empty which worked out well

I really loce spring and cherry blossoms, so we did Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. It was supposed to be the high point of cherry season, but it ended up being the tail end. We still got some amazing photos/
IDK where you live but there is a beautiful arboretum in Oakdale.

You have to pay for Old Westbury Gardens....
non wedding pics are $100 for the permit (i think thats what thye call it)

Well chica i think U should ALSO look for spots that are special to u n him! In our case, NYC makes a BIG part in our lives, that is where we met.. So we took our Engagement pics with the City background!..

I didnt realize I had to pay a fee to take pics at the Westbury Gardens. I dont want to do that.
We've been trying to think of a place that is special to both of us...but we can't really think of anything. We both love to run and workout together and we also love to go to Mets games. FH said hes not into going to Citifield though. We met at a Fundraiser on a Golf Course, but our wedding is at a Golf Course so I think our pics will be too similiar. We love the beach in the summer, maybe we can do a beach.
hmmm, still thinking.

Gantry Plaza state park NO FEE that is where i took mine =-)
We did such a fun shoot at Dave and Busters! We didnt post all of our pics yet but if you want to see send me a FM. I can link you! They came out amazing and we get so many compliments. Such a fun idea and it was totally our personality!

We did our e-pics at Gantry State Plaza/Long Island City Piers. Pics in album. FH actually picked it out for a location - it has a lot of great spots for pics and you have the city across the water.

If you love going to Mets games, maybe photos by the World's Fair and the big globe could be fun? A friend of mine took hers on the Brooklyn Bridge and in the subway. They came out great!!
