Hi! My fiancé and I have our engagement shoot coming up this summer and I need ideas on where to take pics! Looking to stay on the southshore, in the bayshore through Lindenhurst area.

What about Argyle Park in Babylon? Arboretum in Oakdale?
We're getting our pics taken at Sunken Meadow. Are you opposed to going to there?

That's funny that you mentioned those, because I had looked at them...Argyles waterfall is brown/yellow and not so pretty to look at, and unfortunately the arboretum closes at 4:30 and had super specific photo rules! I will definitely look at sunken meadow though, thanks!

We took our engagement photos at Argyle and it was beautiful- definitely didn't have brown/yellow in our shots...

lol - i've always thought the same thing! but i suppose your photographer can always touch them up - im sure it won't look bad in photos.

I brought up Argyle Park to my photographer and they didn't recommend it. They said there isn't a ton of space to take pictures, and there is usually people all over the place. They suggested either the Cutting Arboretum (they charge a fee to take pictures and for parking) or the Islip Grange.
We decided on the Islip Grange because of the old buildings and rustic look. Also, they don't charge anything to take pictures there!
