Engagement shoot location recommendations?

Hi everyone,

My FH and I just scheduled our engagement shoot for April 13th and now we're looking for a great location on the north shore (or central) Nassau County to take our pictures. We'd prefer a nice garden but not something that will require an expensive permit. We've looked into Old Westbury Gardens but their photo permits are above our price range (we're hoping for $100 or under), and Planting Fields doesn't let you take formal pictures in their greenhouse, which is the area I love in April.

What did you ladies do for your engagement photography? Can anyone recommend a nice garden that will be blooming in April and not too expensive?

I took my engagement photo' say Gerry Park in roslyn. We took them in the fall so I don't know how it looks in the spring (there are pics in my albums)

Do you need a permit for Gerry Park? Could you FM me the quote and how long you can keep a photographer there?

We loved DUMBO park in Brooklyn. No permit was needed and the area has so many good photo ops! We had a lot of fun (Our pics are in my bridal review and my album)
