Hi Girls! I was wondering if anyone has Long Island based engagement photo locations suggestions?
I am not from LI so not familiar with the area. We are looking for some kind of a park/nature/greenery with perhaps a few spring flowers blooming? Any suggestions?
Also any suggestions as to what to wear?

Oh forgot about the what to wear thing.
We wore coordinating outfits - I wore a cream pants with a black turtleneck and he work a cream sweater with black pants. We took our engagement photos in Janaury so warm clothing was a must! Also, we took our shots in black and white so I wanted a black and whitish feel to our clothing. I think it worked pretty well.
Ive seen other people who wear a pretty skirt and tall boots which I think also looks great for street scenes but not so hot for nature photos.
What you wear depends on what sort of setting you have and what kind of pictures. Do you want traditional? something a little more funky? something completley off the wall?

Stef, thank you on suggestions for clothing!!! We were thinking of sticking to sweaters/turtlenecks and possibly leather jackets (depending on the weather). Good idea on B/W issue, I forgot to think about it.
I just spoke with Lia, she suggested either
Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay or a similar arboretum in Oakdale. I think the difference is that the one in Oyster Bay has some kind of a colonial building structure. We also moved the day to the end of April to ensure nicer weather. I'll also check the schedule at Hofstra University.
Please keep the suggestions coming!!!

Theresa, you're joking right? Unfortunately, I was not quite blessed in the height dept. so capri's don't look good on me... I do like your idea, just won't work for me. I am checking out Eisenhower park too!!!

I am 5'.
I just got 8 pairs of capris at Zara's..
They are just above the ankle and they are hemmed with a nice cuff.. They Look great and only 22..
U should check it out..............

ALina, Lia took us to Sunken Meadow beach, I will try to see if I have any pix on my PC to share with you. The weather is so darn unpredictable that you do not even know if it will be warm or cold. We wore coordinating colors. BRB

We are getting our pics done in Eisenhower park! I love that park, When my father passed away they dedicated a tree in the memorial section because he was in VIET-NAM..
