I have my engagement shoot today ... what did you tip for 1-photographer?

I know the poll's a bit wacky but just round up ...

Where are you guys going to take them?

Park? Beach? Garden?

We tried tipping our photographer $50 but he wouldnt take it - we tipped his assistant $25 though - he had an assistant to take the sun out of our faces since we took the pics at the beach

No charge for traveling - we got to choose where in NYC / LI we wanted to go - since it's during the week we chose Central Park.

Are you going to the church Saturday too? Or just the cocktail hr?

We tipped our photographer $50 on the engagement shoot..

We also took our casual proofs in Central Park , and also the Seaport. IT was a very long day .. we met around 3:30pm and wrapped up well after 9pm!

They did such an excellent job on our casual pics, so I thought $50 tip was more than worth it

Oh no, don't say a word to your FH!

Actually I can promise you that you'll both have fun.. take it from me. DH and I both HATE having our pics taken and we had so much fun at our casual shoot. We didn't expect to but it was great.

Actually if you aren't having video, then your day might not be nearly as long as ours. Eric shot our video and he specifically wanted to get some 'night shots' down by the seaport, with the sun setting and the lights over the bridge.. (this was back in May so the sun didn't set until 8pm!) So that's why the day dragged on so long in our case.

I'd say that it'll probably take 2-3 hours at least, though.
