Re: Engagment Party Menu

We're currently looking for a place to have it...its not going to be for another year or so, but we needed to start early with the catering bc its kosher and kosher is alwaysssss more involved (ughhh).

I figure that if I become close with some of the 2010 girls (I hope we do!), they will be invited to the e-party and the wedding.

Keep the opinions coming girls!

Re: Engagment Party Menu

I think we're going to end up booking out a room in a temple.

I tried calling a bunch of hotel chains (marriot, hilton, sheraton, holiday inn) to book a conference/meeting room and they all require you to use their in house caterer, who can only do kosher if its for 250+ people.

Then I called a bunch of vineyards out east. I found one who will let you outsource catering. I'm waiting for a call back on tuesday to find out how much the room would be, but I'm thinking it will probably be a lot. I'll let you girls know when I find out the price though!

So I'm thinking a temple, but we'll see.

More opinions?? haha

RH dont do kosher?? i thought they did?

Re: Engagment Party Menu

They do, but we dont want to spend as much money as it would cost at a RH. We dont want another formal wedding type thing, we want something casual.

Re: Engagment Party Menu

temple should be ur best bet..ull get married then party ..no need for limos either, unless u want them . but that will save u tons of money..

why not get a bunch of places to cater?

Re: Engagment Party Menu

wait..i think things got confused haha

We're not having our engagement party at a RH bc its too expensive, so we're having it at a temple probably. But we are having our wedding at a RH.

I am having my eparty at a vineyard and called all over. Most of them let you use an outside caterer. If you need suggestions of vineyards, FM me.
