What is too late for an engagement party...??? We got engaged in December and our family is pushing it back to Sept??

I was engaged in Oct06 and i'm not even going to plan an e-party until after the summer.

We have been engaged 3 years and are having our party this summer. We werent gonna have 1 but we decided to. I talked to a few family and friends and they all said its fine because we haven't actually 'celebrated' it yet! go for it!!

I don't think it is too late. FH and I got engaged in July 2006 and we are having our engagement party either march or april.
