I am kind of late since were engaged a while now lol...but we wanted cooler weather so I could wear boots...We are thinking planting fields oyster bay...any ideas on outfits...wanted casual yet cute...im VERY tough on myself in pics so should be interesting!
FH and I wanted to be casual as well for our engagement pics. Love the cooler weather when you get to wear boots and a nice sweater with jeans for that first fall day. Have you checked on pinterest? They have tons of ideas = ) Very exciting!

When are you doing yours? We just booked for Sept 17-- I think we're also doing the Planting Fields! Have you filled out the permit and paid yet? I have to figure that out. We've been engaged since April but we both wanted some time to lose some weight... 6-7 weeks left to make a difference!
Since our wedding is on Friday the 13th there is this brand called lucky 13 that mashes biker type tshirts. Fh bought me one years ago, it's of 2 skulls kissing. So we got him one that was off a skull with a top hat on for our pics. Ours were super casual! We ent behind the train station in Massapequa, there is the bike path back there. My friend took them for us we really like them! I think I have in my albums...
We just had to cancel ours. They were scheduled for this weds, but I went away last weekend and got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Usually I wouldn't care, but I don't need to have bites all over in those pics! We're probably going to reschedule for some time in Sept.

FH and I dressed pretty casual. I wore a white sundress and he wore jeans and a plaid shirt. Semi-casual I guess since casual to me is like sweatpants lol. Pics in my album!

i would have loved! a fall engagement shoot but I want to get my save the dates out as soon as possible. we've been engaged for a year (today!)
did anyone get their makeup done for the eshoot? I'mnot the best when it comes to make up and i dont want to look like a mess for the shoot. But then again, it could be a little ridiculous to spend the money for an hour or two

I got my makeup done! It came out great, way better than I could have done it myself- I'm a mess when it comes to foundation haha. Unfortunately I'm not thrilled with my pics, we used a friend that is starting a small photography business and she clearly needs some more experience editing photos and capturing light in her photos. So, I was happy with my makeup and getting my haircut/highlighted that day, but bummed that I spent so much money on the shoot and only got a few good pics out of it!
Its funny I planned on getting my hair blown out but wasn't planning on makeup...need to rethink that
I'm using engagement pics (and probably shower too) as an excuse to do a hair/makeup trial with the salon I'm probably using for the wedding.
Well thanks to this post I am now booked with my makeup girl lol
